About Thomas F.J. MacAniff

Tom MacAniff began his career with Eastburn & Gray in 1963. The early years of his career consisted of criminal and civil trial practice and representation of municipal corporations. Also he had the opportunity to litigate complex litigation relative to the tax ability of inheritances for non-profit corporations.

Mr. MacAniff is an experienced corporate attorney.  From 1965 to 1994, his practice consisted of municipal corporate and finance work and related litigation, representation of closely-held corporations, representation of public corporations relating to litigation and estate planning for clients.

From 1994 to the present, Tom has acted as outside general counsel to a public corporation. He is responsible for the general representation of his client and engages in all areas of practice of corporate law, except securities work. He also purchases legal services for his client in addition to performing work himself. This practice has given him exposure and work with Federal Trade Commission matters, Food and Drug Administration matters, and litigation and general corporate work in Pennsylvania and eight other states. A portion of the practice has been trial practice at the Federal District Court level in jurisdictions, other than Pennsylvania, and State Court practice in those states. In addition, his practice also consists of representing closely-held corporations in the manufacturing, data processing, construction, and technology sectors. He also continues to maintain an active estate planning practice related to his representation of both officers and directors of publicly traded entities and closely-held entities, and his continuing representation of both active and retired clients.
