Joan Righter Price, Esq. Joins Eastburn and Gray, P.C.

joan-righter-priceEastburn and Gray announces the addition of attorney Joan Righter Price, Esq. to the Tax Assessment Appeals, Litigation and Real Estate practice groups at Eastburn and Gray.

Mrs. Price has 25 years of experience representing clients in Assessment Law matters. She represents clients in litigation involving real estate valuation, exemption and constitutional issues as well as issues involving preferential assessments. Her practice emphasizes counseling counties and other taxing districts on compliance with the Consolidated County Assessment Law and other assessment statutes in Pennsylvania, particularly those counties considering or undergoing a countywide revision of assessments. She represents clients in hearings before local boards of assessment as well in the courts of common pleas and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Eastburn and Gray, Mrs. Price served as Solicitor to the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals for more than 20 years. She is the Solicitor of The Assessors’ Association of Pennsylvania (AAP), an organization founded in 1948 by a group of county assessors with the intent of promoting more education and professionalism within the industry. She is also the Chair of the AAP’s Assessment Law Committee.

Mrs. Price has extensive knowledge and practice in the area of Assessment Law in Pennsylvania and she is highly regarded in this area of the law. She regularly lectures on various topics related to Assessment Law for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Montgomery Bar Association, the County Commissioners’ Association of Pennsylvania and the Assessors’ Association of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Price, a resident of Conshohocken, received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and her B.A. from Chestnut Hill College.
