Three Eastburn and Gray Attorneys to Present Seminars at PBI’s 2017 Real Estate Institute

Mark S. Cappuccio, Esq., Joan Righter Price, Esq. and Robert R. Watson, Esq. will serve as faculty members of the 21st Annual PBI Real Estate Institute in Philadelphia on December 7, 2017.

Mr. Cappuccio and Ms. Price will serve as co-panelists at a seminar entitled, “2017 Developments in Tax Assessment Law” that will cover recent tax assessment appeal cases within the Commonwealth. The presentation will be geared to real estate professionals and attorneys practicing in the field.

Mr. Watson will serve as a co-panelist at a seminar entitled, “Dual Perspectives on PA Mechanics’ Lien Law in a Post-Directory World” that will cover the latest issues in Pennsylvania mechanics’ lien law, including an overview of the new legislation that was passed in Pennsylvania which dramatically changes how owners, contractors and subcontractors approach their rights under the Mechanics’ Lien Law. The program will also cover the latest information available on the Construction Notices Directory.

Mr. Cappuccio is an experienced civil trial attorney with an extensive background in tax assessment law, commercial litigation, real estate, zoning, and condemnation. He represents individuals, businesses and municipalities in a variety of real estate matters including land use, zoning and condemnation cases. He serves as the solicitor to Lower Milford and Marlborough Townships.

Mrs. Price is an experienced trial attorney and represents clients in litigation involving real estate valuation, exemption and constitutional issues as well as issues involving preferential assessments. She represents clients in hearings before local boards of assessment as well in the courts of common pleas and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Eastburn and Gray, Mrs. Price served as Solicitor to the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals for more than 20 years.

With nearly 20 years of experience representing clients from all aspects of the construction industry, Mr. Watson is a frequent lecturer on construction law-related topics. In 2016, he was selected to work with Pennsylvania officials to launch the Pennsylvania State Construction Notices Directory website, which provides some additional protections under the Mechanics’ Lien Law.
