Two Eastburn and Gray Attorneys to Speak to Local Chapter of Assessors’ Association of Pennsylvania

Mark S. Cappuccio, Esq. and Joan Righter Price, Esq. will speak to the South East Chapter of the Assessors’ Association of Pennsylvania on March 15, 2017 in Telford, Pennsylvania.

The co-panelist’s seminar is entitled, “Assessment Legal Issues and Court Case Decisions” and will cover tax assessment appeal procedures and strategies from the ground up, including determining when to take an appeal (methodology); filing appeals; procedure before Board of Assessment; Appeals to Court from the Board of Assessment decision; and trial strategies at court level. Additionally, the pair will cover exemptions.

Mr. Cappuccio is an experienced civil trial attorney with an extensive background in tax assessment law, commercial litigation, real estate, zoning, and condemnation. He represents individuals, businesses and municipalities in a variety of real estate matters including land use, zoning and condemnation cases. He serves as the solicitor to Lower Milford and Marlborough Townships.

Mrs. Price represents clients in litigation involving real estate valuation, exemption and constitutional issues as well as issues involving preferential assessments. Her practice emphasizes counseling counties and other taxing districts on compliance with the Consolidated County Assessment Law and other assessment statutes in Pennsylvania, particularly those counties considering or undergoing a countywide revision of assessments. She represents clients in hearings before local boards of assessment as well in the courts of common pleas and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Eastburn and Gray, Mrs. Price served as Solicitor to the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals for more than 20 years.
