William H. Eastburn, III Honored
Initiated by the Committee to Honor William H. Eastburn, many gathered recently at the corner of East Court and Broad Streets in Doylestown Borough to commemorate the former managing partner of Eastburn and Gray, the late William H. "Bill" Eastburn. The ceremony noted Bill’s many accomplishments and contributions to Bucks County and the surrounding community. A permanent plaque was placed at this location in his honor. Mr. Eastburn passed away on March 7, 2008.
As senior and managing partner of Eastburn and Gray, P.C., Bill Eastburn earned a reputation as an energetic and skilled advocate for his clients, a patient mentor, and a loyal friend. Bill was the founder of numerous non-profit organizations that continue to provide specific help to those in need. These include: "Today", an inpatient drug treatment program for adolescents; Americans for Native Americans, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Native Americans; and The Katrina Relief Project, an on-going disaster relief project which has adopted the communities of Waveland and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, to help rebuild those areas after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
On this occasion, Bill was honored by Bucks County Commissioner Chairman Charley Martin; Doylestown Borough President Det Ansinn; President of the Bucks County Bar Association, Chris Serpico; D. Rodman Eastburn, President of Eastburn and Gray, P.C.; and Bill’s wife, Connie Eastburn.
The Committee to Honor William H. Eastburn consisted of the Commissioners of Bucks County, Doylestown Borough Council, Congressman Patrick Murphy, Eastburn and Gray, P.C., and the Doylestown Historical Society.
