To Collect Unreimbursed Medical Expenses, the Deadline to File is Today!
Any party receiving child and/or spousal support pursuant to a Court Order with a percentage of shared unreimbursed medical expenses should know that today, March 31st , is the annual deadline to file with the Court for collection and enforcement of the prior year’s unreimbursed medical expenses. If the payor of the Support Order does not pay their share of the unreimbursed medical expenses, the Court will only have the ability to enforce collection if this deadline is met. The Court will schedule an enforcement action to collect the unreimbursed medical expenses, if the filing is timely.
