Eastburn and Gray to Sponsor 2019 Bucks County Classic
Eastburn and Gray, P.C. is proud to sponsor the 2019 Bucks County Classic. The race will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in the heart of Doylestown Borough. The schedule includes children’s races, professional men and women’s races and a parade of bikes.
The Bucks County Classic of Doylestown began in 2004 and the Thompson Organization took over the title position in 2012, added a women’s race in 2014, and gained national status in 2016 as part of the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour. Eastburn and Gray has been a proud sponsor of this event for seven consecutive years.
The Bucks County Classic encircles the always-popular Doylestown Arts Festival. The race will include high-speed, action cycling which will provide an afternoon of tremendous enjoyment and an excitement-packed finish line for cycling enthusiasts and spectators. This particular race is a criterium, a style stemming from the wildly popular indoor track racing in Madison Square Garden from the 1890’s through the 1920’s. Criterium racing typically consists of 25 to 50 laps of a one-mile racecourse; this kind of racing defines America’s appreciation of professional cycling.
