Marc D. Jonas, Esq. Settles Appeal and Obtains Approval of Subdivision Application

Following the filing of an appeal challenging its decision in a subdivision application, the Board of Commissioners of Upper Moreland Township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, agreed to settle the appeal and approve the subdivision application as presented. The settlement was approved by the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. At the heart of the issue was the township’s attempt to obtain a utility easement to benefit other properties. Eastburn and Gray attorney Marc D. Jonas, Esq. successfully represented the landowners in contesting the township’s action and securing court approval of the settlement. The township abandoned its effort to obtain the easement and approved all waivers sought by the landowners.

Among his notable accomplishments, Mr. Jonas was named 2018 Lawyer of the Year for Litigation in Land Use and Zoning Law in the Philadelphia area and 2017 Lawyer of the Year for Land Use and Zoning Law in the Philadelphia area by Best Lawyers in America®. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Mr. Jonas is recognized as a Leader in Real Estate/Land Use law by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. His peers have recognized him as a Pennsylvania “Super Lawyer,” and he has been selected repeatedly by U.S. News as a “Best Lawyer” in both Land Use and Zoning Law and Land Use and Zoning litigation for the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.
