Marc D. Jonas, Esq. to Speak at Montgomery Bar Association in September 2018

Marc D. Jonas, Esq. will serve as moderator and panelist at a CLE seminar at the Montgomery Bar Association on September 20, 2018. Entitled “Real Estate: Land Use Settlement Agreements – Trouble in River City?”, the program will feature a timely and important discussion about land use settlement agreements. It is the established policy of the courts to encourage settlement agreements. However, these agreements can be problematic, and recently, proposed settlements have been rejected by the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County. Considerations are both substantive and procedural, implicating issues of jurisdiction, due process, and notice.

Among his notable accomplishments, Mr. Jonas was named 2018 Lawyer of the Year for Litigation in Land Use and Zoning Law in the Philadelphia area and 2017 Lawyer of the Year for Land Use and Zoning Law in the Philadelphia area by Best Lawyers in America®.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Mr. Jonas is recognized as a Leader in Real Estate/Land Use law by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. His peers have recognized him as a Pennsylvania “Super Lawyer,” and he has been selected repeatedly by U.S. News as a “Best Lawyer” in both Land Use and Zoning Law and Land Use and Zoning litigation for the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.
