Mark S. Cappuccio, Esq. to Serve as Mediator

Cappuccio_MarkMark S. Cappuccio, Esq. has been appointed to serve as a mediator in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas tax assessment appeals program.

The tax mediation program is a pilot program developed to reduce the backlog of tax assessment cases pending before the court. Parties involved in a tax assessment appeal case may take part in the program in an effort to resolve the case prior to trial. The mediator assists the parties and their attorneys to communicate their positions, discuss their issues, and explore possible settlement options that will satisfy the interests of the taxpayer, the taxing authorities and the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals.

Mr. Cappuccio is a Shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Tax Assessment Appeals practice group and a member of the firm’s Land Use & Zoning, Litigation and Real Estate practice groups. He is an experienced civil trial attorney who has an extensive background in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate, zoning, condemnation and tax assessment law. Mr. Cappuccio was previously awarded the President’s Award by the Montgomery Bar Association for his outstanding work and the successful real estate tax appeal representation he handled on behalf of the Montgomery Bar Association.
