David Rodman Eastburn, known as "Rod", is a highly-regarded Bucks County estate and tax attorney, chairs the firm's estate, estate planning and tax departments, and is an active participant in its business practice. Rod is a great grandson of Eastburn and Gray's founder.
Rod has worked extensively with the owners of closely-held businesses and their families to organize their estate planning and business succession planning. He appears regularly before the Internal Revenue Service, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, and the Orphans' Court Divisions of the Bucks and Montgomery County Courts of Common Pleas which have jurisdiction over probate, estate and trust matters.
Rod is a speaker at Continuing Legal Education courses and a frequent consultant to other attorneys in the Bucks County area with respect to tax, estate and trust matters.
Rod is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Rod is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Born in 1951, Rod attended Doylestown public schools and then Amherst College where he graduated with a B.A. in 1973. He joined the family firm following his graduation from Georgetown Law School in 1976. Rod has practiced continuously with the firm since that time. In 1978, he matriculated at Temple Law School's graduate tax program, obtaining an LLM in Taxation in 1981.

Rod recently completed a lengthy stint as President of the Bucks County Symphony and has served on its Board for many years. Additionally, he has served as a board member and officer of the Boy Scouts of America and the Central Bucks Family YMCA. He regularly donates his services to local museums, churches and other cultural institutions.
Rod is a life-long resident of Bucks County. He has been married to Valerie King Eastburn for more than 35 years and has four children: Mike, Sarah, Alexandra and Mark. Mike is an adjunct professor at Columbia Law School and Defense Counsel in the Office of the Chief Defense Counsel, U.S. Department of Defense. Sarah joined Eastburn and Gray in 2013; her practice includes wills, trusts and estates and taxation. Alexandra is a marketing project manager in the pharmaceutical industry and Mark joined Eastburn and Gray in 2018 after serving three years as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.
