Joan R. Price, Esq. to Speak at Southeast Chapter of the Assessors Association
Joan R. Price, Esquire will present a continuing education seminar to the Southeast Chapter of the Assessors Association on Real Estate Litigation on September 26, 2018 at the Indian Valley Country Club in Telford, Pennsylvania. The program is intended to keep assessors’ up-to-date regarding any recent court decisions and changes to the assessment law that affects daily assessment activities.
Ms. Price represents clients in litigation involving real estate valuation, exemption and uniformity issues as well as issues involving preferential assessments. A good portion of her practice has a particular emphasis on counseling non-profit entities on how to obtain a real estate tax exemption. She also counsels counties on questions related to countywide reassessment and assessment administration issues. Ms. Price has served as an expert on questions involving assessment administration, countywide reassessments, and the Farmland and Forest Land Preservation Act (Clean and Green).
She represents clients in hearings before local boards of assessment as well in the courts of common pleas and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Eastburn and Gray, Mrs. Price served as Solicitor to the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals for more than 20 years and she currently serves as Solicitor to the Assessors’ Association of Pennsylvania.
