Joan Righter Price, Esq. Appointed Solicitor to the Delaware County Board of Assessment Appeals
Joan Righter Price, Esq., an attorney in the firm’s Blue Bell office, was appointed Solicitor to the Delaware County Board of Assessment Appeals. This appointment comes as a continuation of Ms. Price’s ongoing work to assist the County as they implement a court-ordered countywide reassessment. The appointment was effective Friday, May 15, 2020.
Ms. Price represents clients in litigation involving real estate valuation, exemption and uniformity issues as well as issues involving preferential assessments. She has assisted other counties in the countywide reassessment process and has provided technical assistance to various counties on assessment administration issues. Ms. Price represents clients in hearings before local boards of assessment, in the courts of common pleas and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania. She has also served as an Expert Witness on Act 319 and assessment administration issues. Prior to joining Eastburn and Gray, Ms. Price served as Solicitor to the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals for more than 20 years. She also served as Solicitor to the Assessors’ Association for many years and helped draft the Consolidated County Assessment Law.
