Judith A. Algeo, Esq. to Speak at AFCC 11th Symposium on Child Custody Evaluations

Algeo_JJudith A. Algeo, Esq. will speak at the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (“AFCC”) 11th Symposium on Child Custody Evaluations in San Antonio, Texas on November 6, 2014. Ms. Algeo’s seminar, “When Child Welfare Comes Knocking”, will cover child abuse allegations in high conflict custody cases and the bridge between both welfare agencies and private practice family law attorneys. She will co-present the seminar with John Shanken-Kaye, Ph.D.

Ms. Algeo is a Shareholder in the firm’s Family Law practice group. She has nearly 20 years of family law experience. Prior to starting her career in the law, she was a family therapist in private practice. She currently represents individuals in all matters related to family law, including adoption, divorce, custody, child and spousal support, alimony and matters of equitable distribution.

Ms. Algeo serves on the list of court approved custody mediators, in addition to serving on the court’s conflict list to represent parents in child dependency cases. She is also frequently appointed as a conflict Guardian Ad Litum to represent abused and neglected children.

Ms. Algeo is a past president of the Bucks County Bar Association (BCBA) and has served several terms on its Board of Directors. A founding member of the Bucks County Bar Foundation, she currently serves as the organization’s Vice President of the Board of Trustees.
