Julie L. Von Spreckelsen, Esq. Secures Zoning Ordinance Text and Map Amendment and Conditional Use Approvals On Behalf Of Real Estate Developer

Von-Spreckelsen-16On behalf of the Verrichia Company, a commercial real estate developer, Julie L. Von Spreckelsen, Esq. submitted applications for a zoning ordinance text and map amendment and a conditional use to permit the redevelopment of the property. The property included both the Williamson’s Banquet Center property and the long vacant former Philadelphia Inquirer site in Horsham Township, Montgomery County.

The text amendment permitted an Easton Road Mixed Use Commercial Development consisting of a convenience store with fuel dispensing facilities, a pharmacy, and three restaurants. The development includes significant traffic improvements to a highly congested area, enhanced stormwater management facilities, shared parking, and interconnecting decorative sidewalks between the buildings and the adjacent business park.

Despite significant opposition from residents in the area, Ms. Von Spreckelsen was able to demonstrate to the Horsham Township Council that the project met the requirements of the zoning ordinance for conditional use approval.

Ms. Von Spreckelsen has been representing clients in real estate law, including zoning, subdivision, land development and municipal-related issues for more than 15 years, and has been named a “Top Attorney” by DelVal Media, Publishers of Suburban Life Magazine and Philadelphia Life Magazine, 2013 – present.
