Two Eastburn and Gray Attorneys Speak Tax Assessment Law at 2023 PBI Real Estate Institute

Eastburn and Gray, PC shareholders, Mark S. Cappuccio, Esq. and Joan Righter Price, Esq., participated in the 2023 PBI Real Estate Institute in Philadelphia on December 1, 2023. The seminar, entitled, “What is New in the World of Tax Assessment Appeals” provided an update on recent cases affecting real estate tax assessment appeals and a discussion on the state of the law regarding taxing district appeals. The seminar was geared to real estate professionals and attorneys practicing in the field.

Mr. Cappuccio serves as the chair of the firm’s Tax Assessment Appeals practice group. He is an experienced civil trial attorney with an extensive background in tax assessment law, commercial litigation, real estate, zoning, and condemnation. He represents individuals, businesses and municipalities in a variety of real estate matters including land use, zoning and condemnation cases. He serves as the solicitor to Lower Milford and Marlborough Townships.

Ms. Price is an experienced trial attorney and represents clients in litigation involving real estate valuation, exemption and constitutional issues as well as issues involving preferential assessments. She represents clients in hearings before local boards of assessment as well in the courts of common pleas and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Eastburn and Gray, Ms. Price served as Solicitor to the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals for more than 20 years and currently serves as Solicitor to the Delaware County Board of Assessment Appeals.
