Biography

Jean Keeler is an attorney in the Business and Corporate Law practice group at Eastburn and Gray.

Prior to joining the firm, Jean spent nearly 25 years working in the healthcare industry where she served in various leadership positions. Initially, Jean was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Grand View Health where she provided leadership and oversight for all legal affairs of the Board of Trustees and the administrative and clinical departments. In 2012, following a national search, Jean was named President and CEO of Grand View Hospital. Under Jean’s leadership the name was changed to Grand View Health and its mission, vision and values were all revised to more accurately reflect the role of Grand View in the Upper Bucks and Montgomery county communities.

Under Jean’s leadership the health system underwent an extensive period of growth. Some of those accomplishments include:

  • Expanded the physical space of the hospital, almost doubling the size of the clinical space, as well as the expansion of service offerings, including the initiation of robotic surgery.
  • Obtained level 2 trauma certification, the first in the Upper Bucks area.
  • Added additional locations including a free standing orthopedic center, two new outpatient centers, including an outpatient surgical center.
  • Formed an Independent Physician Network with the hospital to coordinate care.
  • Added new specialties to provide care to the community close to home.
  • Spearheaded and negotiated the formation of an alliance with Penn Medicine to bring collaboration and advanced care to the Grand View campus.

Jean guided the hospital during the first year and a half of the COVID pandemic, establishing protocols to care for the community and establishing vaccine clinics to vaccinate community residents when the vaccines became available.

Her business experience includes the negotiation of commercial real estate agreements as well as professional employment agreements and practice purchases; tax compliance issues related to exempt and non-exempt organizations; maintaining tax exempt status; health information and privacy services; corporate governance; fiduciary duties; managing conflicts of interest; corporate transactions; the formation of for profit and nonprofit subsidiaries; corporate strategic planning and human resources and executive compensation related matters.
