Kimberly Litzke

Biography

Kim Litzke has been practicing family law in Bucks County, Pennsylvania since 1994. She is well-versed in family law issues including divorce, custody, support, alimony and equitable distribution. Kim is settlement oriented, endeavoring to minimize the trauma of the divorce to the family (particularly children). However, there are cases that cannot be resolved by agreement and in those instances Kim’s aggressive litigation skills serve her clients well.

Kim is at the forefront of family law issues in Southeastern Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on local Bucks County issues. She regularly lectures on matters related to family and matrimonial law, including many CLEs at the Bucks County Bar Association. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section where she currently serves on Council, the governing body of the Section. Kim regularly attends this body’s meetings to stay current on developing case law, statutory changes and trends in matrimonial law.

Kim is incorporating an alternative form of dispute resolution called collaborative law into her practice. Collaborative law is a method for people to get divorced without courtroom litigation, while using legal representation to guide the process. Kim authored an article, There Has Got To Be A Better Way, to explain this innovative process.

Kim was a panelist on the TV show "Money Matters" where she discussed family law issues and how they are impacted by financial related issues. To see the show in its entirety, please click here. Kim was also interviewed on a blog radio talkshow about the benefits of the collaborative law method in divorce proceedings. Kim's interview can be heard by clicking this link.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section recently published a free online video for parents, attorneys, Judges and mental health professionals as a resource to help parents who are separated learn how to improve co-parenting relationships. Click here to watch the video.
